Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all. The food at the Jahe Restaurant is simply delicious, and may best be described as Asian-fusion, distinguished by the remarkable freshness and flavour of its ingredients, and the graceful ease of its preparation and serving. In Balinese, Jahe means ‘ginger’, a plant known for its freshness, flavour and beauty. Set within a tranquil garden setting, Jahe is an elegant, open-sided ‘Bale’ or pavilion, with a thatched roof and whirring ceiling fans, blending tropical charm with elegant simplicity. As well as the central dining area, there are a number of smaller, private pavilions spilling out into the garden and bordering the main restaurant. These intimate havens are perfect for romantic dinners and for watching Balinese dances and other performances that may take place in this magical area, lit by flickering torches under a moonlit sky. Jahe presents imaginative set dinners, all designed around the mouthwatering local seafood and Balinese produce, as well as an à la carte menu. Jahe Restaurant is located in Sanur at The Pavilions, Bali – a truly enchanting place where guests can relax in seductive surroundings and relish delectable food.
